I look back on this and wonder, why isn't Ninten getting as much use out of that bat as he can? Was I so absent-minded at the time I didn't even think to have him bash the crows, even though he's got the thing *right there in his hand*? |

I wonder if all this humor is too jarring of a mood whiplash, considering what just happened to Pippi and Marilyn...? I wonder if I just worry about this stuff unnecessarily...? |

This, and the next ten pages, comprise a scene that I had sketched out while working on the Halloween comic, and which had been lying dormant until some time ago, when I finally got around to inking and coloring it. It's sandwiched in between Halloween pages 3 and 4. |

You might notice I changed two panels at the top with Pippi. That's because my original scene here (which you can see by checking out my Halloween comic) was over the top, and anyone I showed it to found it comical if nothing else. Since then, (I'd like to think) I've learned a few more rules for pulling off a successful horror scene (i.e. subtlety), and this won't be the last instance of a change in the original script. So, in a weird twist of fate, the canon story will probably prove to be scarier than the actual Halloween version. O_o |
