Is Moonside really Giygas's Magicant?
Maria was able to somehow create a Magicant, even though she was practically dead. Why shouldn’t Giygas be able to create a Magicant even though he’s lost his mind?
Moonside is complete nonsense, with enemies inside the hospital, human teleporters, people that don’t make sense, the invisible man, etc. Giygas is insane, and he doesn’t really make sense. Sure, Ness’s Magicant had carrots coming out of the ground, and it changed colors, but was it making sense? Everyone made sense to some degree, and there was a satisfactory explanation for almost everything. It wasn’t at all creepy either. Ness was a good person mostly, and most of his Magicant didn’t have enemies and evilness. Giygas is evil, and Moonside has enemies splattered all over it. Moonside changed colors, but it changed every second and was mostly black.
Then there was the Mani Mani Statue. Moonside was said to be an illusion created by the Mani Mani statue. Wasn’t the Mani Mani statue created by Giygas? Here’s what I think happened: Giygas made a last resort after he was beaten by Ninten: The Mani Mani statue. He put a bit of his mind/soul into the statue so that in the event of Ness defeating him, Ness would only destroy a part of him and think the job was done. He would then be able to continue his plan after being defeated. If Ness ever encountered the statue, he would only be endangering a small part of himself, and his mind/soul would make Ness be taken inside his Magicant and unleash a bunch of evilness onto him and kill Ness right then and there. As Giygas grew insane, the Mani Mani statue leaked more darkness, influencing each thing it encountered. When Ness defeated the Mani Mani statue, Giygas lost his mind.
